Tag My Tunes

Project Development

Web Site

For the TagMyTunes web site, we needed an original design. So we sat down with our best original artist and went through a few different concepts and then revisions of concepts. And then revisions of revisions of concepts. We settled on something small, direct, and very professional looking.

Next we set off to develop the site. We chose ASP.NET and C# as the primary technologies behind the site. But we wanted a cool FAQ, since this was the one area of the site with some dynamic content. We decided to put to use some of the Ajax technologies we really like. It turned out pretty neat.

Ecommerce

Being a relatively small software company, we don't have the negotiating power with the banks to get a great deal on a merchant account. And we don't want to raise our prices just to compensate. So we chose Google Checkout for the ecommerce part of the site.

Integration of Google Checkout was simple and flexible. The site uses Google Checkout Level 2 Integration, which means that we have developed a complete web service and order processing system to store customer information in our databases. Of course, we do not store credit card numbers because that's not our business.
